Archaeologist and researcher in Roman glass manufacturing, glass furnaces and other ancient crafts.

Since 2011 giving lectures in Roman glass.
Since 2013 initiator and long-time director of the Roman glass furnace project at the Archaeological Park Roman Villa Borg (Perl-Borg, Germany).
Since 2014 giving university courses in Roman glass and other ancient crafts at different universities (Bochum, Frabkfurt, Köln, Marburg, München, Saarbrücken, Trier)
Since 2019 teaching at Roman glass furnace projects at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Rheinbach (Germany).
Since 2019 executive director of the RömerWelt am caput limitis Museum (Rheinbrohl, Germany).
Since 2023 running the Römische Glashütte (Roman glass workshop) at the RömerWelt am caput limitis Museum (Rheinbrohl, Germany).
