Bio
I have a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology (University of Amsterdam) and I am interested in archeology. In 2024 I attended the Intensive Textile course at the TRC in Leiden.
I am a ‘textile person’, and use wool, cotton and flax, and other fibers as well. I often prep and dye the fibers myself.
Because I have good practical skills as a spindle spinner I can spin thin yarn on a spindle.
The spindles I use can be modern spindles as well as older ones or spindles based on archeological finds.
The thin yarn I spindle spin I use, f.e. for backstrap weaving or tablet weaving.
I could well think along if any questions about fibers or the use of spindles might arise.
