The EXARC Show brings together people with a passion for experimental archaeological research, ancient and traditional technologies, open-air museums and heritage interpretation.
We started podcasting out of need in March 2020 (COVID) and haven’t stopped since!
Since its launch, the EXARC Show has grown into a dynamic platform that brings together archaeologists, craftspeople, museum professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world. Each episode aims to share knowledge, inspire collaboration, and highlight the diverse voices shaping experimental archaeology and open-air museums today.

Host Phoebe Baker has a BA in Archaeology from the University of Liverpool and an MSc in Early Prehistory and Human Origins from the University of York. Currently, she is based back at the University of Liverpool, where she is a PhD student investigating how early humans living in Palaeolithic Europe adapted their environments to survive the cold. Host Matilda Siebrecht is an archaeologist and journalist with a research focus on microwear analysis and the prehistory of northern cultures.
