OUR UPCOMING CONFERENCES
EXARC is currently organising two major conferences in the coming years. The first, “Staging the Past: Living History, Live Audiences, Real Challenges,” will take place in Berlin from 12–15 November 2026. This event will bring together historians, archaeologists, living history practitioners, and heritage professionals to share research, explore innovative approaches to public engagement, and discuss the challenges of presenting the past to live audiences.
The second event is the next Experimental Archaeology Conference, which will be held in Romania in 2027. This international gathering will provide a platform for researchers, students, and practitioners to exchange knowledge, present recent work, and explore new directions in experimental archaeology. More information on registration, the programme, and call for papers for both conferences will be shared in the coming months.
