Brief description of activities: The Omnis Barbaria Cultural Association began its activity in the summer of 2013 in response to the need to highlight the importance of the historical and cultural heritage of the northwestern region of the country. All the founding members of the Association have extensive experience in the field of historical reconstructions, having participated, since 2008, in numerous events, educational and cultural actions, as members, organizers or collaborators.
The main activity of the association is the reconstruction of civil and military aspects from the ancient period with particular reference to the historical evolution of northwestern Romania (Celts, Dacians, Germanics). Also, by reproducing objects and phenomena from the past, the association also carries out experimental archaeology projects, which, due to their scientific rigor, represent a more advanced level of historical reconstruction.
All of this is put into practice by participating in cultural events in the country (Alba Iulia, Arad, Baia Mare, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Bacău, Galați, Brăila, etc.) and abroad (Poland, Ireland, Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Hungary, Lithuania) where the association members carry out activities specific to antiquity, civil and military demonstrations (participation, for educational purposes, in the reconstruction of ancient battles, demonstration duels between different types of warriors), presentations of equipment (Greek, Celtic, Dacian, Roman, Germanic and gladiator), interactive activities with the public (testing equipment), craft workshops (ancient-type vertical loom weaving, Dacian pottery modeling, wheel and hand, blacksmithing, leatherworking, making iron chain armor, cooking, etc.).
