Świętokrzyskie Stowarzyszenie Dziedzictwa Przemysłowego is an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural and industrial heritage of the Świętokrzyskie region, emphasizing its historical significance and unique contributions from antiquity to modern times.
Since its inception on April 20, 1999, the ŚSDP's activities have been focused on popularizing and expanding knowledge about the cultural and industrial roots of our region. We want to make residents and tourists aware that one of the fundamental assets of our voivodeship is its legacy of the past, especially its industrial traditions. In this respect, no other region in Poland can compare to the Świętokrzyskie region.
The remains of Neolithic flint mines and the iron-producing district of the Roman period have no equivalent, even on a European scale. Promoting the achievements of past generations as a scientific, cultural, and tourist asset is intended to shape a positive external image of the region and strengthen local communities in their efforts to consolidate their own identity based on rich traditions.
Therefore, one of our tasks is to highlight those aspects of the heritage of the past that demonstrate the supra-regional, pan-European significance of the phenomena and processes occurring in our region from antiquity to the modern era.
