Barbara Stutz from Switzerland, currently based in Estonia, studying for an MA in Folkloristics and Applied Heritage Studies at the University of Tartu, with a focus on craft heritage.

Background in textile design and tailoring, with several years of experience in sociocultural work and art education. Artistic and research interests centre on craft as embodied knowledge, particularly textile practices, material culture and the ways craft knowledge is transmitted, transformed and valued. Especially interested in the relationship between traditional craft and contemporary artistic practice, and in questions around women's work, domestic craft and cultural heritage.

Joined EXARC to connect with others working with traditional crafts, experimental approaches and material knowledge, and to learn how practical making can contribute to research and the understanding of heritage.
