I am an archaeologist and curator at the Civic Archaeological and Paleontological Museum of Arsago Seprio (VA) and a collaborator with the University of Milan. I focus primarily on prehistory, protohistory, and the early Middle Ages. I am particularly interested in Celtic and Lombard material culture and have thirty years of experience in archaeological excavations.
Another area of my research and study is alcoholic beverages in antiquity, with a particular interest in mead, beer, wine, and Nordic grog.
I use experimental archaeology as an important study tool, focusing on understanding the technological traces found on various artifacts, which I then reproduce in many cases.
I primarily study and craft ceramics and the study, processing, and forging of metals, as well as the working of flint and stone in prehistoric times. I study and reproduce objects for many archaeological museums.
I am a founding member and President of the Insubria Antiqua Association, which focuses on study, research, and educational dissemination from prehistory to the early Middle Ages. We specialize in Living History and Reenactment.
I am a Level 2 National Technician in Historical Fencing and Historical Archery. I am a member of the Vikings Re-enactment Society and an Authenticity Officer, as well as the Coordinator of the Authenticity Officers of the Italian Section. I am a member of the editorial staff of the magazine Terra Insubre, Culture and Territorial Identity. I have numerous publications and articles on history and archaeology.
