I am a lecturer of Medieval Archaeology at the University of Barcelona. I have worked for many years with colleagues at the Site of L'Esquerda, which is an institutional member of EXARC and I have been trained in the principles and practices of experimental archaeology.
Recently, I started a research project on medieval and modern pottery at the University of Barcelona, and experimental activities of firing and paste preparation are included within. I think the EXARC is an exceptional framework for exchange of ideas, contacting people interested in experimental archaeology and developing strategies to bring experimental archaeology to the universities and new generations of archaeologists.
I am also interested in museum practices, dissemination and heritage preservation. I think the flow between experimental archaology and these disciplines engaged with the general public is also good for research.
