I have been passionate about experimental archaeology and historical craft techniques for many years. I am particularly fascinated by textile techniques such as tablet weaving, nalbinding, and warp weighted looms, which I also practice hands-on. In the 1990s, I gained my first experiences in a museum village and later co-founded EXARC. Today, I share my knowledge of historical crafts across various platforms and work on documenting and preserving old techniques. Currently, I am working on a project called Zunfterbe, a website dedicated to preserving and sharing knowledge about historical craft techniques and traditional skills. The platform covers a wide range of topics, including textiles, woodworking, leatherworking, and even historical alchemy. My goal is to make lost knowledge accessible again, both for enthusiasts and researchers.

The website is designed to cater to beginners and experts alike, offering structured information that spans from foundational techniques to specialized insights. It also aims to support reenactors by providing content specific to different historical periods and regions.

In addition to sharing knowledge, Zunfterbe will host courses, provide access to basic materials, and feature small handcrafted products. The website combines historical accuracy with a modern, clean design, making it easy to navigate and visually appealing.

I see Zunfterbe as both a passion project and a way to connect with others who value the rich heritage of traditional crafts.
