Call for Papers: Investigating Amber Artefacts at UISPP 2026
EXARC invites researchers and enthusiasts to contribute to a session on amber artefacts at the 21st World Congress of the Union of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences (UISPP), taking place in Poznań, Poland, from 31 August to 4 September 2026.
The session, titled “Investigating Amber Artefacts Life Cycles: From Traditional to Multi-Proxy Research Approaches” (S-10C), aims to bring together studies that combine traditional typological-stylistic analyses with approaches such as chaîne opératoire or reduction sequence theories to explore the production and use of amber objects in various cultural contexts. Contributions may include long-term analyses, typological studies, regional surveys, or insights from key sites related to amber processing.
Prospective contributors are invited to submit their paper proposals via the conference portal by 28 February 2026: https://uispp2026.syskonf.pl.
