International Symposium & Fair of History and Archaeology

The International Symposium & Fair of History and Archaeology will take place in Cyprus from 8–18 October 2027, organised by the Cyprus Perfumery Theme Park in collaboration with the Solea Communities Complex, with the University of Nicosia (UNIC) as academic partner and under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

The ten-day programme will bring together researchers, experimental archaeologists, craftspeople, artists, museum professionals and practitioners of ancient technologies for a combination of scientific presentations, experimental archaeology, live demonstrations, workshops, educational activities and public engagement. A dedicated day of scientific presentations will be hosted at the University of Nicosia.

The programme will cover a broad chronological range, from the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods through the Bronze Age, Geometric and Archaic periods, with a focus on ancient technologies including stone, bone, antler and leather working, metallurgy, ceramics, textiles, tools, weapons and experimental reconstruction. Expressions of Interest are open until 15 November 2026.

There is no formal application form. Interested participants should send a short introduction, indicate how they would like to contribute, and include any relevant links, photographs or examples of their work.
