I am a classical archaeologist whose work is driven by interdisciplinary inquiry at the intersection of material culture, ecology, technology and intercultural exchange. My research investigates diverse histories of socio-material entanglement across the Eurasian continent in the first millennium BC, ranging from the mobile pastoral societies of Central Asia to the urban cultures of the Mediterranean world.
