A Farewell and a Thank You to Matilda Siebrecht as EXARC Director

After years of dedication and passion, Matilda Siebrecht is stepping down as EXARC Director. Here are a few words she would like to share with the entire EXARC community as a farewell.

Dear EXARC members and the wider community, I would like to announce that, as of July, I will be stepping down from my role as EXARC Director.

This is due to several reasons related to developments in my other jobs and personal life. With my resignation also ends the position of “Director”, and instead the daily administration tasks that I was responsible for will continue to be carried out by the wonderful management team who have been working by my side for the last year (Communications Manager Federico, and Financial Manager Laura), as well as the EXARC board.

Thank you for all of your support for the last few years, and I should clarify that I am not leaving EXARC, just the director position! I will be continuing as a volunteer, but will instead be focusing my efforts on conference coordination. You will therefore definitely still see me around!

Matilda Siebrecht

The EXARC team is incredibly grateful to Matilda for all the work she has done as Director over the past years. She leaves behind an association that is more resilient, open, and aware of its own strengths and resources.

Matilda has built a strong team, bringing together volunteers and staff members while finding new ways to make the best use of our resources and focusing on what truly mattered for the association. All EXARC staff members would like to thank her for everything she has taught us, not only in terms of tasks and responsibilities, but above all through her approach based on kindness, listening, and understanding.

If EXARC is where it is today, it is largely thanks to Matilda’s ability to remind us, as a team, that projects can only succeed when the people involved are happy and supported. She consistently made every effort to ensure that this was the case.

Thank you, Matilda!
